“When I was a kid, I played with water, mud, light, and shadow. One activity that I remember with incredible fondness is sitting in a dark room with beams of sunshine flowing through heavy drawn curtains. In those golden beams, dust and lint floated through the air, sparkling, making tiny constellations, constantly evolving. My imagination locked in and switched on, inviting me to vast universes of my own creation. This experience might be my primary aim as an Artist. Almost every expression I share is with the intent of switching you on and setting your caged imagination free to play and explore and find a life of magic in a universe of your own. Every time my Art—whether it be painting, music, writing, puppetry, or anything else—does this, I feel I have succeeded.”
